Nifty. I think it hit me spot on (as far as these kinds of things go). Your Political Compass

Yeah, I’d say so. I’m as centrist as you can get :p (at least I try hard at being a moderate)

I thought that their choices (from Strongly Agree/Agree/Disgree/Strongly Disagree) were still a little too narrow for me – I would have included a category of Neutral or Agnostic (ex., I have no true hard stand on the marijuana legality question and on death penalty, since I feel those aren’t simple issues). On a lot of the economic questions, I picked the answers I picked based on a close reading of the statements but didn’t feel comfortable with my choices if I really had to stick with the reading I had of those statements (I know, picky lawyer thing, but I would never have said “never” on some of those economic statements).
So I think the Political Compass questionnaire results had me lean more left than I really am. So, yeah, I may be left of center (and more libertarian? I’m surprised by that, since there are times when I would agree with the authoritarian outlook), but I could have sworn I was a bit more (or try to be more) centrist. One poll I once tried had me as Hilary Clinton left-ish. Umm, sure…
