A woman with airline baggage sits across from me on the Metro. She reads "The Great Gatsby". Looking at the top edge, I see it is stamped "Brookline Public Library", an imposter of the library I grew up with.

Hehehe – the Brookline Public Library! (presumably Brookline, Mass., right? ) — plus, the whole Brooklyn/Brookline thing – sort of an amusing thing in my family, since we’ve relatives in Brookline while we were the Brooklyn W’s.
